Misty may only be 5 months old, but this precious girl has already been given a very big second chance. She came to TGPR from BARC Houston just hours before she was scheduled for euthanasia—and we are so thankful we were able to say yes to her.

From the moment she was safe, Misty showed us exactly what kind of puppy she is: an absolute lovebug. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate and wants nothing more than to be close to her people. If cuddling were an Olympic sport, Misty would already be going for gold! She will happily soak up all the love and reassurance you’re willing to give her.

Misty came to us with a very swollen and injured front paw, and we are still determining the extent of the injury and what treatment she may need. Whatever it takes, TGPR will make sure this little girl gets the care she deserves.

For now, Misty is settling into rescue life, getting lots of cuddles and learning that she is safe. At only 5 months old, she has her whole life ahead of her—and we can’t wait to see her grow into the beautiful, loving companion she was always meant to be.

Misty came incredibly close to never getting that chance.

Now she just needs a family to make her second chance complete. ❤️
