Hollis

Meet Hollis DFW.

Like many great legends, Hollis got his name from the place where his story began—the street corner he called home for a while. Thankfully, those days are behind him now.

Estimated to be between 18 months and 2 years old, Hollis already looks like he's seen a lifetime of adventures. Then again, life on the streets tends to add a few extra years to a dog's appearance. The good news? We're pretty sure his best chapters haven't even been written yet.

At approximately 87 pounds, Hollis is a whole lot of dog wrapped around an incredibly resilient spirit. He's doing well with other dogs, has discovered that a crate is actually a pretty nice place to sleep, and is settling into the idea that regular meals, soft beds, and kind humans might not be such a bad deal after all.

This handsome guy is already neutered, has started heartworm treatment, and is receiving veterinary care for a bullet lodged in his front leg that has been causing him to limp. Despite everything he's endured, Hollis remains gentle, cooperative, and ready to embrace a brighter future.

For now, he's focused on healing, gaining strength, and learning that he never has to fend for himself again.

Stay tuned for more updates on Hollis DFW as he begins his next chapter—a chapter we hope ends with the forever home he deserves.
