Sweet little Piper is about 4 months old, and she’s a girl who just needs a little time to realize that people can be pretty great. ❤️

Piper is very shy with people, but put another dog near her and you’ll see a completely different puppy! 🥹🐶 She absolutely LOVES other dogs and lights up the moment they come around. You can see her confidence grow when she has a furry friend by her side.

We’ve been working on her people skills since she came into our care, and she has already come such a long way in a short amount of time. She’s still learning that she’s safe, loved, and doesn’t have to be afraid.

And underneath that shy exterior is a silly, playful girl who clearly wants to PLAY! 🎾🐾 We’re excited to watch her continue to come out of her shell and show us more of that fun personality.

Piper would do best with a patient family who understands that trust takes time and, ideally, another confident, friendly dog to help show her the ropes. ❤️

She may not be the puppy who runs straight into your arms on day one—but we have a feeling that when Piper finally chooses you, it’s going to be something pretty special. 🥹❤️
