What a morning!! The weather showed up, the floofs showed up, and so did you incredible people. We loved seeing so many dog lovers from San Antonio and truly all across Texas (Houston!!! 🙌) come out to Run • Walk • Bark with us.
It was so good catching up, cheering each other on, and celebrating afterward with some seriously yummy tacos. (And yes… a nap may or may not have happened afterward. Just me? 😅)

Y’all come join us for a floof-filled 5K!
San Antonio’s most lovable 5K is back for round two! TGPR’s 4-Ever Mine Valentine’s Fun Run brings together runners, walkers, pups, kids, and big-hearted folks for a morning full of fresh air and furry faces at beautiful McAllister Park.
Bring your boos, your baes, your BFFs, your floofs! Help us make this Valentine’s Day one for the dogs (in the sweetest way possible)!
What to Expect:
✓ A beautiful 5K route through the park
✓ Breakfast tacos (because obviously)

✓ A post-run Pyr Pawty at Bushwood CC celebrating love, community, and rescue

Why Run With Pyrs?
Meet Leo, one of the many dogs your support helps.
Leo was found after being dragged by a vehicle and left injured on the side of the road. His leg had to be amputated, and he spent weeks in recovery. Through it all, he never stopped trusting. Today, he’s living with his forever mom and training to become a therapy dog… living proof of what second chances can do.
Last year alone, TGPR rescued countless Leos, dogs in desperate need of medical care and hope.
Why TGPR
We’re Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, and for 25 years we’ve been the last-chance lifeline for more than 6,000 dogs across Texas. We partner with shelters, support fosters, and connect gentle giants with families who adore them. But the rising cost of vetting and supplies fr exceeds our adoption fees. Fundraiser events like our annual 5k is what allows us to fulfill our mission of tents.
The proceeds of every sponsorship and registration go directly toward saving lives.
