We brought Everest into our home as a senior foster a couple of years ago and we fell in love with him. We adopted him this year and it was the best decision we ever made. Once in a lifetime, you meet a dog that completely captures your heart. We all love Everest, but he is my husband’s very best friend. You can feel the love they share in these pictures.
At some point, a cruel and heartless human dumped this great dog. He starved and waited where he was left, expecting them to come back for him. He was loyal to them, despite having been terribly beaten and developing a deep fear of people, especially men. It took a year before he wagged his tail, and two for him to stop ducking when we approach him. We are so grateful that TGPR got involved and saved Everest from starving to death on the street. We will never stop being grateful for every moment of time we get with the Big Boy (Everest). He’s the undisputed and beloved king of our little Lucky Ranch. Thank you, TGPR. You do God’s work here on earth with these great dogs.
